ReadyPedi

Mississippi · State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering · Rule 11.7

Mississippi requires a record of every daily and weekly foot spa cleaning. Log it in three taps.

Under Rule 11.7, every whirlpool foot spa is cleaned after each client, at the end of each day and weekly, and a record of the date and time of each daily and weekly cleaning is made at or near the time, marking any workday a spa was not used. Techs log at the chair. The Board publishes no form, so ReadyPedi prints a record that carries the rule's own words.

The rule

What Mississippi asks for, in plain words.

Rule 11.7 of the Board's Health and Safety chapter sets how a whirlpool foot spa is cleaned and how each cleaning is recorded. Here is the record half, next to how ReadyPedi keeps it.

Filling in a row

No boxes. The cleaning, in words.

ReadyPedi's record has no boxes to tick. Each row names the cleaning it records, or the workday the spa sat unused, beside the date, the time and the tech. These are the four rows.

A Weekly row doesn't close the day: ReadyPedi still expects that night's End of Day. The Not Used row is the owner's, one tap for every idle unit.

Instructions

The Mississippi questions we're asked most.

  1. Does a pipe-less foot spa count?

Yes. The text in force defines a whirlpool foot spa as any basin using circulating water, and the Board's proposed permanent rule says in so many words that it may be piped or pipeless. Set the chair as Pipe-less.

  2. What do I log on a day a spa wasn't used?

The rule says the record must indicate if a whirlpool foot spa was not used during a workday. ReadyPedi has a Not Used row for that, and the owner's Auto-Fill writes one for every idle unit in one tap.

  3. How long do I keep the record?

The text in force names no period; the Board's proposed permanent rule says six months, and ReadyPedi keeps six months either way. The plans keep two years of history, and Inspection mode opens the last six months.

  4. When do I log the weekly cleaning?

After that night's End of Day. The rule's weekly cleaning follows the end-of-day procedure, so both are logged: End of Day first, then Weekly, each on its own row.

  5. What about a sonic vibration spa?

The rule says one should be cleaned to the manufacturer's instructions and that a cleaning log should be kept for it. ReadyPedi doesn't model that unit as a kind of its own; log it as a Whirlpool if you want the same record for it.

  6. Is ReadyPedi part of the Board?

No. ReadyPedi is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology and Barbering. It prints a record under the rule's own words from your log.
