The boxes are the form's own, After Client or Daily: the rule's reason. ReadyPedi ticks it for the tech.
The rule
What North Carolina asks for, in plain words.
21 NCAC 14H .0403(o) to (r) set how a whirlpool or foot spa is cleaned and how each cleaning is recorded. Here is the record half, next to how ReadyPedi keeps it.
| The rule | ReadyPedi | |
|---|---|---|
| Which units | Any basin using circulating water: a whirlpool or a pipe-less foot spa. A basin that does not circulate, and a liner, are outside the rule's words. | Set each chair as Whirlpool or Pipe-less. Each prints its own form. |
| Which cleanings | After each patron, and at the end of the day. No weekly step. | After Client and Daily, each a row of its own. Nothing else is offered, because the rule asks for nothing else. |
| What a row shows | The date, the time, the reason, and the name of the staff member who did the cleaning. | The tech picks the cleaning, which is the reason. The date, time and name are stamped for them. |
| The form | The rule names no form. The Board publishes a template, the Whirlpool/Foot Spa Sanitation Form: date, time, After Client or Daily, and the employee's name. | Prints the Board's form. The staff member's name goes in the Employee Signature column, which is what the rule asks for. |
| One record per unit | The record is made for each whirlpool or foot spa. | One record per chair. The form has no unit field, so ReadyPedi prints the unit number above the grid. |
| How long | At least ninety days. | Two years of history on every plan. |
| On request | Shown to a patron or an inspector who asks. | Inspection mode opens the last ninety days, ready to hand over. |
| Your part | Every row, on time, for every unit. | Three taps at the chair. |

Filling in a row
Two boxes. One per row.
Every row of the Board's form has the same two boxes, After Client and Daily: the reason the rule asks for. These are the two rows on the record.
| When | After Client | Daily |
|---|---|---|
| Between patrons | Ticked | Blank |
| Closing, the spa had patrons | Blank | Ticked |
Never on the same row
- After Client + Daily
ReadyPedi won't let a tech tick both, or log a weekly the rule doesn't have.
The form
What the inspector is handed.

The Board's own sanitation form, filled in from timestamped rows.
Print any unit and any date range. Every row carries the date, the time, the reason and the tech's name. The time prints as 14:40, the 24-hour form, because the form's Time column was drawn for a pen.

Instructions
The North Carolina questions we're asked most.
Does a pipe-less foot spa count?
Yes. The rule says whirlpool or footspa means any basin using circulating water, and a pipe-less unit circulates. Set the chair as Pipe-less and it prints its own form.
What about a basin without jets?
The rule's words cover basins with circulating water, and nothing else in the subchapter mentions a still basin or a liner, so ReadyPedi offers the two circulating kinds for North Carolina. Whether an inspector applies the rule to a still basin is not something the text settles; ask the Board.
How long do I keep the record?
At least ninety days, one record per unit, shown to a patron or an inspector who asks. ReadyPedi keeps two years of history, and Inspection mode opens the last ninety days.
Is there a weekly cleaning?
No. The rule has two steps, after each patron and at the end of the day, and ReadyPedi offers exactly those two. A weekly row would be a row the rule never asked for.
Why does the time print as 14:40?
Because the form's Time column is narrow, drawn for a pen, and 2:40 PM would be cut. ReadyPedi prints the 24-hour time so every row fits the Board's own grid.
Is ReadyPedi part of the Board?
No. ReadyPedi is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners. It prints the Board's own sanitation form from your log.
